Fun in the Sun

 We had a great time with the family for our annual get together. We started off at Carpenters, spent some time with great grandma and great grandpa then headed up to Heise to swim and have a picnic with the rest of the Carpenter gang. Penny and Scotty really loved the water! Scotty lounged out in his floaty and sucked on his fingers and Penny couldn't stop moving. We would sit her on the step and she would just stand up and start walking. Good thing we were right next to her because she had no fear! 

The next week James came back to Boise to fit in some work and me and the kiddos headed to Hamer. It was a nice vacation from all other responsibilities and Penny really enjoyed playing with Tylin and Tanner all week long. One day we were outside playing in the pool and she just decided to stand up and take a few steps! It was amazing. I couldn't stop smiling and cheering her on. Now she wants to walk all over the place. Of course she falls a lot but she just laughs the whole time she walks. I am so proud of her!

 Next stop was Island Park! My parents rented a cabin for the weekend and we met the rest of the family up there for some great fun in the sun! 

My dad brought his boat and everyone had fun playing in the water. There was wake boarding, skiing, and of course tubing. That was my favorite part. James liked to wake board and he is actually really good at it. Everyone really enjoyed that part.

There was a huge back yard for all the kids to run out their energy and a huge back porch where we sat and could watch those on the water. Penny liked to walk on the porch. She especially tried to walk when she saw the other kids running back and forth.

The babies even loved to be outside and enjoy the warm weather. They just lounged on the porch and stole each others toys. It was fun to see them interact with each other.

It was a great weekend and we are glad we were able to go and spend time with everyone. 

I also forgot to post about Scotty eating food for the first time. It was about a month ago and he loved it! He now eats cereal, fruit, and sweet potatoes. He is such a good eater and I just love his smile in this picture.
