We had a lot of fun this summer. The kids were kept busy with dance lessons and swimming lessons. They loved both!!! We worked out in the yard a little bit and Scotty was a big helper to Daddy while mowing the lawn.
We were able to attend a Down Syndrome family picnic. The kids got their faces painted and got to play at the park a little. It was over 100 degrees that day so we didn't stay very long because we were starting to melt :)
At swimming lessons the Scotty conquired the big jump off the diving board and Penny went on that very big slide all by herself!! I was one proud mama of me kiddos.
We were also able to go to a couple of Down Syndrome play groups. We got to go to this pretty cool local petting zoo. We go to feed and touch a lot of different animals. From kangaroos to Zebras to Zonkeys. ( a zebra donkey mix ) The kids had fun seeing all the animals. It was hot that day too so after a couple of hours out in the sun we were done with the fun!!!
I had the opportunity to have a girls nights out on the town with my mom and my sister. We go to go see "Dancing with the stars" It was a really good show and I am glad we got this time to spend together.
