Family Vacation and a very Happy Birthday to James

James was able to take a week off from work and we traveled home to see our families. It was a fun time but we were really busy the entire time. Now we almost need a vacation from our vacation. But we really had a good time.
Our first stop was Carpenter's. Both of James' sisters were able to come up as well. We hadn't seen them for a while so it was nice to spend time with them. We chatted alot and played a few games. The first day we had a reception for Ashley and Mike. They got married in April so we got together with family and celebrated. Then we spent a day in Idaho  Falls and took the older children to Blast off. They had a lot of fun. The adults played mini golf while the kids did their activities. Penny even enjoyed that. She crawled all over the golf course. James took his try at rock climbing. It was a fun time for all.
We also went fishing. It was very hot but most everyone caught a fish so that was good. Penny enjoyed just sitting around, especially when I gave her a chunk of ice to play with.
Next up was Yearsley's. We had a couple days before everyone else arrived so we took that time to play a round of golf and catch a movie. It sure is nice to have a babysitter handy. It was really enjoyable sitting through a movie without worrying if Penny is going to wake up and start crying. We watched the Last Harry Potter. It was excellent! I highly recommend it to all.

The rest of the family finally showed up Thursday evening. We spent a lot of time talking and just hanging out. We took razor rides and played in the sand box. Penny even took her first ride in a swing. She loved it. We ate lots of good food and then had a combined birthday party for James, Tylin, and Penny.
Friday was our Golf tournament. Grandma offered to watch all the kiddos so my dad partnered with Dawn. It was a fun time and a beautiful day. Lacey and Tony came in first. We actually came in second. So we were happy. That night we had a delicious dutch oven dinner and dessert. Played a few games and relaxed some more. I was sad to see Sunday come and everyone leave but I was glad to be back home. Penny was too. She gets a little worn out around all the people.
Monday was James' birthday! We spent most of the day recuperating, we went to lunch at his favorite restaurant, Bone Fish Grill. Then came home and ate some homemade ice cream! It was delicious. Happy Birthday James!!! I love you so very much and appreciate how hard you work and all you do for our family. You are the best husband and dad!!!
